    • 200 Year Bicentennial
200 Year Bicentennial Committee has scheduled a series of events to highlight the Catholic presence and influence of North Carolina Catholicism. We will move in 50-year blocks to tell the fascinating and complex history of our parish church and inform participants, parish members, the City of New Bern, and Craven County of the impact our church has had on our community. All monthly events will be held in the Church Sanctuary on the last Sunday of the month from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Lets have fun together making 2021 the best year ever with a walk down memory lane and understanding our future.  Stay Tuned!

About Us- We are people, from every walk of life.  We come together to make a whole in the love of our Father, Jesus Christ.  We are:
    SAINT PAUL STRONG

The Catholic community in New Bern has a long faith-filled history. From it’s beginnings in 1821 through the Civil War, the Great Depression, fires,  World Wars and cultural upheavals, we find ourselves in the midst of growth and change once again. This community has come together in this new millennium to follow the example of those who have gone before, by learning to build a better world. We have much to celebrate and quite a legacy of service and care for the community to pass on.

We begin the year-long arrival of an anniversary 200 years in the making: the first visit of a Catholic Bishop, Most Reverend John England, to North Carolina and New Bern to establish the Parish of Saint Paul, for preaching of the Gospel and the celebration of Holy Sacraments.
