Where Faith Comes Alive: Our Week at Covecrest

Last week, 26 of our high school teens experienced an unforgettable week at Life Teen Camp Covecrest. As you'll see at the beginning of this video, camp is filled with fun, games, laughter, and friendships. But if you keep watching, you'll discover something even greater.

Throughout the week, our teens encountered Christ through daily Mass, Adoration, prayer, the sacraments, and powerful Catholic speakers. This year's theme, "Breath of God," focused on the Holy Spirit. Our teens learned that God is real, Jesus is real, and that the Holy Spirit—the love shared between the Father and the Son—comes to dwell within us, guide us, strengthen us, and lead us closer to God.

Many experienced the powerful presence of Jesus during Adoration, learning that when we adore Christ, we encounter Him in a real and personal way. Yet Adoration is only the appetizer. The Mass is the source and summit of our faith. In the Mass, we receive Jesus Himself in the Eucharist—God gives Himself completely to us.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who prayed for, supported, and made this life-changing trip possible. Please continue to pray for these teens as they return home, that the fire of the Holy Spirit will continue to burn brightly in their hearts and that the light of Christ will shine through them in our parish, their families, schools, and communities.

This weekend, another group of our young people heads to Camp Hidden Lake for middle school camp. Please keep them, their leaders, and all involved in your prayers for another week of transformation, faith, and encounter with Christ.
