This past weekend, our parish joyfully celebrated the First Holy Communion of many of our children as they received Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time. It was a beautiful and grace-filled occasion for our parish family, and we give thanks to God for each of these precious children.
We are so grateful to help usher these little ones more deeply into the life of the Church and to walk alongside them as they grow in faith. Receiving the Body and Blood of Christ is a profound step in their spiritual journey, and we pray that their love for Jesus in the Eucharist continues to deepen throughout their lives.
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me,” and this weekend we witnessed the beauty of that invitation in a special way. The faith, joy, and reverence of these children served as a powerful reminder to all of us of the simplicity and trust with which we are called to approach our Lord. Their witness inspires our parish community and renews our own love for Christ and His Church.
We also thank the parents, families, catechists, and teachers who have helped form these children in the Catholic faith and prepared them for this important sacrament. Your guidance, prayers, and example have helped lead them to this sacred moment.
As a parish, we continue to pray for all our First Communicants — that they may remain close to Jesus, continue growing in holiness, and one day join the great Communion of Saints in eternal joy with Him.
