On September 14, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Saint Paul Catholic Church marked a significant moment in our parish life with the groundbreaking of the new columbarium at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Monsignor Michael Clay led the ceremony with prayer and reflection, reminding us that this sacred ground is where we remember, honor, and lay to rest those who have gone before us in faith. Rooted in the hope of the Resurrection, this project will provide a peaceful and prayerful resting place for parishioners and their loved ones for generations to come.
The groundbreaking was made especially meaningful as several members of our parish family took part in holding the ceremonial shovels:
Msgr. Michael Clay, Presiding
Randy Straight, Cemetery Manager
Charlie Schmidt, Facilities Manager
John Lantier, Parishioner and Cemetery Volunteer
Brenda Zaytoun, Generous Benefactor
Judith Denis, St. Paul School Administrative Assistant
With gratitude to all who have supported this project through prayer, stewardship, and generosity, we look forward to the completion of the columbarium as a lasting witness to our faith in Christ’s victory over death.
