"This is the night
of which it is written:
The night shall be as bright as day,
dazzling is the night for me, and full of gladness."
- Exsultet
The Easter Vigil is the high point of the Triduum, and marks the transition from the darkness of Good Friday to the light of the Resurrection! For those in attendance, it feels like being present when the stone is rolled away! This Mass is filled with powerful scripture and beautiful liturgical traditions. As we renew our own baptismal promises, we also have the joy of celebrating with our catechumens and candidates as they receive the sacraments of initiation, some receiving Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation on the same night!
