Speed Dating Success

Updated: Jul 28

On a recent evening filled with laughter, conversation, and maybe even a little romance, our Young Adult Community hosted a truly memorable Speed Dating Night — and it was a fantastic success!

We welcomed 27 young adults, many from parishes across our diocese — and even a few from as far away as New Jersey! The excitement and openness of everyone who came made the atmosphere warm, welcoming, and full of energy.

We began the evening in the best possible way: with a prayer, asking God to bless the time together.

Each attendee was matched with six “dates,” spending a few minutes getting to know one another in a relaxed and respectful setting. Before and after rotations, guests enjoyed light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and there was plenty of time to mingle and chat casually throughout the evening.

Our hilarious and charismatic emcee, David, kept the night running smoothly with witty commentary, well-timed jokes, and a great sense of pace that helped everyone feel at ease.

By the end of the evening, we were excited to learn that 20 participants had matched with at least one person — a wonderful sign that genuine connections were made. Whether sparks flew or new friendships blossomed, the event served its purpose: bringing our young adult community together in a joyful and meaningful way.

We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, and especially to our dedicated young adult team who planned and hosted the entire evening. It was a beautiful example of what happens when faith, fun, and community come together.

Stay tuned — more young adult events are coming soon!
